This guide explains how to appoint teachers to their respective Buildings or Organizations within the District Model (NYC-specific) setup. Follow the steps below to assign staff members in bulk using their Staff IDs, ensuring each teacher is properly linked to their designated location.

Go to the Staff tab, then locate the Building/Organization you’re working on and click the small triangle icon to the left to expand the menu.

Right-click on or hover over the cloud icon next to the All Staff group to reveal a three-line menu. Click the menu, then select Manage this Group.

Click Bulk Appoint Staff.

Paste the Staff IDs of the teachers who should be appointed to this Building/Organization.
⚠️ Note: The Staff ID must match the one used in Forms & Flows. This is usually the teacher’s DOE email address, but please confirm before proceeding.
After assigning teachers, review the group to confirm that all staff members appear under the correct Building or Organization. Keeping these assignments accurate helps maintain clean data and ensures smooth coordination across schools.
