Push notifications allow you to send instant alerts directly to a user's mobile device through the Forms & Flows app, without needing to send an email or SMS.
Key Benefits:
- Instant Delivery: Get important updates to users quickly.
- Cost-Effective: No per-message fees like SMS.
- Multi-Device Support: Available on both iOS and Android devices.
Important Note: For critical or emergency alerts, SMS remains the most reliable method as it does not require a smartphone or the app to be open. Learn how to send SMS messages.
For the Schools/Districts:
The Push Notifications feature must be enabled for your school or school district.
An Organization Administrator must contact Forms & Flows Support to request that this feature be turned on.
For the User (Parent/Guardian):
- Latest App Version: Users must have the most recent version of the Forms & Flows app installed from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Enable Notifications: They must grant the Forms & Flows app permission to send notifications.
How to Send Notifications
Option 1: From the Editing page of your eForm, you can set this up by navigating to the Message eForm Members section -> Send Messages -> Push Notification tab.
Option 2: From the Managing Groups page, follow the similar steps as above, locate the Group, right-click to Edit, and navigate to the Push Notification tab.
