For Group Edition
Medical conditions can be edited by Administrators, as well as student contacts providing the section "Medical Conditions and Safety Alerts" under Settings>Configurations is set to 'View and Edit'.
To add/edit a student's medical condition, do the following:
1. If you're an administrator, click on the profile and choose Student Record
If you're a parent, click the View button under your child's photo to view their student record
2. Scroll down to Medical Conditions and click the Edit button
3. Answer either Yes or No for each medical condition listed and click Save
4. Add a description of the medical condition
After saving the medical conditions above, a window will pop up for each answer marked Yes.
This window contains questions about the medical condition. Make sure to thoroughly answer the questions in this section.
There are five parts that need to be answered:
1. Risk Level
Select the risk level for this medical condition.
Risk levels available are:
• Unknown
• Life Threatening
• Severe
• Mild
2. Description
Write a full description of the medical condition so as to provide as much information as possible
3. AutoInjector/EpiPen is provided for this condition (only visible if Allergies (Anaphylactic) is selected)
• Answer Yes, if an AutoInjector/EpiPen is provided for this condition
• Set the expiry date for the provided Epipen
4. Is Medication Required?
• Answer Yes, if medication is required for this condition
• Add a full description of the medication and dosage
5. Action Plan
• Upload an action plan for the medical condition
• Set an expiry date for the action plan
Check details and Save
Once you have completed these five sections, check the details again.
• C lick "These are my approved instructions"
• Click Save
Expiry date reminders will be sent weekly, starting 4 weeks before the expiry date and continue until the expiry date is updated on the condition that:
- The student is not archived
- The student record still allows the parent to update medical data (View and Update)
Adding Medical Conditions that are not listed
When a medical condition is not listed in the standard medical profile, users can add non-listed medical conditions and disabilities in the 'Add Other Conditions' section.
To do this, please follow the steps below:
1. Click on the profile and choose Student Record
2. Scroll down to Medical Conditions and click the Edit button
3. Add other condition
-
choose Add Other Condition
- search for Other in the search box
- select one of the ten available Other conditions from the search results
4. Complete the Medical Condition Summary and click Save
5. Complete the detailed medical condition description as described above, approve the instructions and click Save to finish
