Operoo SSO v2

For Group Edition

This is a technical article and is meant for use by technology teams

1. Open Operoo SSO Settings page
Once the SSO feature is enabled, navigate to Settings > SSO Settings v2

      

2. Create Operoo SSO Settings

From the Operoo SSO Settings page
  1. Click on Add SSO Provider
  2. Choose the type of SSO you want to create


                 
2a. SAML SSO Configuration

      To configure SAML SSO
  1. Choose the User Type (Staff, Parent or Student)
  2. Copy in the IDP Metadata XML provided by your IDP
  3. Click Create

Add the Operoo SSO Login URL to your school portal 
After creating the SAML SSO, copy the Operoo SSO URL to your school portal.  This is usually done using a link or button on your school portal. 

                             
2b. Firefly SSO Configuration
      
      To configure Firefly SSO
  1. Choose the User Type (Staff, Parent or Student)
  2. Add your Firefly URL provided to you by Firefly
  3. Click Create
                             


2c.  My School Portal SSO Configuration

      To configure My School Portal  SSO
  1. Choose the User Type (Staff, Parent or Student)
  2. Add your My School Portal URL provided to you by My School Portal
  3. Click Create 
                               


If you use a different SSO for staff, students and parents, Operoo lets you create a separate setting for each of them.

            



3. Send parents their Operoo login credentials (Optional)
Follow these instructions to export or print credentials
