Managed Locally in Operoo allows a record to be excluded from the normal communication channels and the details are manais managed by the Organisation.
You may elect to use this option if there are complex access restrictions or if the Guardians or Parents find technology a little challenging.
Administrators can set a group of students or staff to "Managed Locally" from the Operoo administrator screen.
Staff can also be set to Managed Locally, but it is vital that the Operoo Account Owner's staff profile is not set to Managed Locally if setting all staff to Managed Locally. Doing this will result in the account not being accessible to any staff member or Administrator.
To set students as Managed Locally;
1. Select students
2. Click on the Actions menu
3. Click "Advanced Actions..."
4. Select "Enable Managed Locally for Selected Students"
5. Students profile will turn yellow and are now set to "Managed Locally"
To disable Managed Locally for a group of students follow the same above and choose "Disable Managed Locally For Selected Students"
To set staff as Managed Locally;
1. Click to show all staff members, and follow the same steps as above.
Please note: If a staff member has been set as an Administrator and assigned any Roles, once the Managed Locally setting has been applied and removed, the staff members' profile will reset without any Administrator access - any Administrator access needs to be assigned again.
