For Community and Group Editions
There are situations when an administrator wants to prevent changes to eForm responses that have been submitted by users.
However, by default, a user can change an eForm response until:
-
the respond by date has passed
-
the event date has passed
- the eForm has been archived
The administrator can 'process' an eForm response to lock the response, preventing the user from changing their response.
For example, when a user has selected and paid for an activity. You may not wish them to be able to change the selected activity as you may have booked with the activity provider, rented equipment etc.
Administrators can 'process' a submitted response and prevent further changes. This action can be reversed if you want to allow the user to submit changes.
1. Go into the Form Library
2. Choose the eform and click the 3 lines of the response that you want to lock their response.
3. To revert the setting, click the 3 lines of the response and choose Unlock Response from the dropdown
What do users see?
After an administrator processes a response, the 'Change Response' button will be replaced with a message indicating responses can't be changed.
